October 27-28, "Voices of think tanks” series of lectures by ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance was held successfully. With the theme of "Scientific and technological Innovation and Intelligent Manufacturing", the lecture series was jointly hosted by Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as "BJAST") and ZGC Global Alliance of High-level think tanks. It was co-organized by "Belt and Road Initiative" International Science and Technology Cooperation Training Center, Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU) and the Center for International and Regional Cooperation of the BJAST. Wu Jianmin, president of the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology and chairman of the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance, and Professor Wolf-Dieter Rausch, chairman of the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU), attended and delivered speeches. 

The lecture was presented online for 2 days, and branch venues were located in Urumqi, Xinjiang, Shiyan, Hubei, Qujing, Yunnan, Zhangjiakou, Hebei, Shenyang, Liaoning, and Yinchuan, Ningxia. The lecture was opened to nearly 1,000 people including representatives of teachers and students of universities from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries, representatives of the council members of the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance, leaders and backbones of domestic cooperation partners, and representatives of local high-tech enterprises. 

In his speech, Wu Jianmin said that at present, the deep integration of information technology and manufacturing has become one of the important signs of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and of industrial transformation. The report of the 20th National Congress of the CPC pointed out that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" has become a popular international public product and international cooperation platform. Intelligent manufacturing is an important direction for current and future industrial development. It continuously promotes the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" and has become a new growth point for the "Belt and Road" economic and trade cooperation. This series of lectures was the path exploration by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, the chairman of the Think Tank Alliance, and its partners, to cultivate professional talents jointly under the background with the support by scientific and technological innovation and the development of intelligent manufacturing. 

The series of lectures invited four well-known experts in the field, who took a dive into scientific and technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing, to give lectures. They are Qiu Baoxing, academician of China Science Center of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, chairman of the Chinese Society For Urban Studies, and former vice minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Wang Yiming, vice chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchange and former deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, and Wang Jian, vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Science and Technology Automation Alliance and dean of the Smart Factory Research Institute. Huang Pei, editor and CEO of www.e-works.net.cn, member of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Commission of China. The four experts gave wonderful lectures on the topics of "Five measures to enhance urban science and technology innovation", "China's scientific and technological innovation under the new situation: the choice of strategies and paths", "The past, present and future of manufacturing industry" and "Digital transformation of manufacturing industry and promotion strategy for intelligent manufacturing. 

The content of the series of lectures is closely related to the cutting-edge trend, which is conducive to enhancing the personnel’s awareness and understanding of the industries on the cutting-edge trend of scientific and technological innovation as well as on intelligent manufacturing and industrial upgrading. The experts dived into the research in their lectures. They made the lectures understandable and were praised by all the students. 

"Open eyes to see thousands of miles silk road, the friendship of people in Central Asia lasts long". The series of lectures will build a bridge of cooperation and exchange between scientific and technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing for Central Asia and domestic partners. The series of lectures committed to discussing the future development trend of the technology industry and the reform path of intelligent manufacturing innovation, promoted the two parties to share innovative ideas and development concepts, and make technological innovation serve the people’s pursuit of a better life in all countries.
